Force = Mass x Acceleration
Holly got rear-ended in her GTI last night and fortunately this is the only result. She is a little sore and upset, but otherwise unharmed. Her car did pretty well considering that the Honda hit her going 30-40 MPH according to the cops. As Holly says, "You should have seen the other guy!" Just look what it did to her license plate...

Holly - were you stopped or moving? Did the guy stick around?
I was totally stopped, one car behind a police car. The guy was actually cool, just didn't see all of us stopped. I got all of his info, and it turns out that he has insurance and it is all covered (hopefully!) This is the volkswagen standard though... his car was REALLY screwed up, and mine has bumper damage.
holly - that's crazy, I'm so glad that you're ok! your license plate looks totally insane! you can see how much damage he would have done if you hadn't been in such a safe car!
