Meeting Owen

We went home to Arizona this past weekend to meet our nephew Owen, born March 3rd to Ken's sister Joanne and her husband Keith. He is the best baby ever and didn't cry at his baptism even though the water was very cold. In fact, we hardly heard a peep out of him all weekend. (So far, he is taking after the Kozlik side of the family for his vocal skills...) Ken and I both agree that he is the cutest baby ever, except of course that our kids will be even cuter!

Happy Birthday Tricia!

Hope you had a great birthday Trish! And don't worry, you're still not nearly as old as Jeff!!

(ps are you okay? too bad about the car... was Lilly involved? if she was she might boycott you getting another jetta...]

Sacrificial Cars

After my last car was totaled Ali told me that it was because I loved my car so much that it sacrificed its life for me. Therefore, in an effort to keep this car longer I reminded it on a regular basis that it was not as good as my first Jetta and that I didn't love it as much.
Recently however, I let it slip that I loved my car and as a result I was rear-ended today. I am fine, but we are not sure the car will pull through. I am not sure if I should keep getting Jettas because I like them so much or if I should test drive cars until I find one I really hate and get that so it won't sacrifice itself for me...

Bossaball

We saw some guys today playing a game that looked like a combination of volleyball, soccer, and hacky-sack. There was a volleyball-like net, but you weren't allowed to use your hands to touch the ball, which from far away looked like an undersized soccer/volley ball. It pretty much looked like the coolest game ever. If anybody happens to know the name of it, please let me know. I didn't have much luck finding anything online about it, but I did find a game that looks even cooler.

BOSSABALL is a mixture of volleyball, soccer, gymnastics and capoeira. It is played on the beach on a massive inflatable court, and in the middle of each side of the court is a built-in trampoline that players can use to get super high and do flips and stuff. (In the picture to the left make sure you catch the guy who is about to spike the ball.) I think we should seriously consider it for our next family reunion.
