Just Maybe...
Well, it is entirely possible that Bucky and I have bought a house. I say that because the short sale process is enough to make the most patient individual cry for hours. Here is where we stand... We have submitted our offer and we were the ones (the only ones) accepted and submitted to the lender. If all goes well, in about 2 months the lender will come back and say that they think it would be ok to let us have the house. Then things get crazy (as if that wasn't enough) and we then have 30 days to do all inspections and get our loans in place to get the house. Looking at the timeline, it seems that we may actually have a house sometime in January if all goes well. If not, then who knows where we will be. I am putting on a link that will show you all some pictures. We are getting excited about this, keep your fingers crossed! Here are the pictures!

What a great house, Holly and Bucky! Congrats!!! (On starting the process, at least! My fingers are crossed! What a crazy buying process, why does it work that way? I don't know anything about short sales.) I love the pink shower, the wood floors, the skylight, and I can see the puppies spending many happy hours in the yard and porch! Good luck!!
and the saga continues, we have to be ready to have our loan fund in a random 30 days after this whole short-sale-do-we-want-your-money-process finishes. If, for some reason, our lender can't do 30 days, we don't get the house, even though all other qualifications are met. This is one of the strangest things we have ever done!
aye carumba. I can pitch in, just take up a collection :)
Ok, nevermind. The house turns out to have had a flood over the thanksgiving break and nobody seems to want to fix it. After the quote of $10000 just to dry it out, we had to walk away. This house should pop back up again in 6 months at a much lower price as a foreclosure with major mold issues. Really sad because we really liked it.
Stupid flood. Just think, in 6 months when it pops back up you will have found a better house and won't want it anyway.
