Hello and a little help
Hope everyone is well. I am looking forward to Thanksgiving! Can't believe it's next week - this fall has just flown by. This will be the first time I am leaving Desi - hopefully he will survive a few days at the vet's.
Just a question: I'm kind of stumped by the whole, "This I believe" thing. Maybe my life is just not very inspiring right now. Whenever I try to think about it I just draw one big blank. I've read some online but am still struggling. Does anyone have any advice?

What do you stand for? What do you believe in? If you were leaving this earth, what would you miss most? That is the way I am thinking of it.
I think it can be anything that is important to you, from pizza on a friday night or to a life changing moment. You have had huge changes in your life this year - moving to a new state and taking a new job. You sound happier where you are now. Why?
Maybe you should write about someone who's incredibly important to you. A totally amazing younger (but not youngest) sister, perhaps? I'm just throwing that out there, take it and run with it however you want.
The whole "This I believe" topic is a little dangerous... For those of us with a bent towards the philosophical, it opens the door to all manner of rants, raves, and theses. I'm struggling with whether to go deep or not. Considering the audience, the deep may just be lost in the abyss... :)
I believe in old men. It's just that simple. I haven't figured out why or how to write it up but that is a problem for another night. I guess that I feel like it's what Tricia said, think about your favorite part of life, the non-tangible things you would miss most and then just go with it. You could always believe in canine power!
